Andrew Clouthier Profile
There’s a new sheriff in Barrie.
It’s been a few years since the Barrie Colts have had a legitimate, willing heavyweight. You have to go back to the days of Jordan Grant or B.J. Crombeen to find one. That is, until this season.
Clouthier broke onto the scene with the Saginaw Spirit, but has since moved onto Barrie where he’s destined to become a force. He sat down with OHLTG and gave us a bit of info on him. Take a look…

Name and team: Andrew Clouthier / Barrie Colts
Age: 17
Current Height/Weight: 6′3 / 216
Nickname: Clootch
Who’s the toughest guy you’ve faced? I would have to say either Jordan Shine or Tyler Sheldrake.
What superstitions or rituals do you have before a game to prepare for a fight? None, really - just whatever happens, happens.
What’s your favourite road trip? I would have to say the Sarnia and Saginaw roadie.
What style of fight do you prefer – off draw without buckets or heat of the battle? Why? I love to go buckets off, toe-to-toe, because it gets the heart racing with the adrenaline pumping and its just more fun.
What current or former hockey player do you model your game after? Mike Fisher off the Ottawa Senators.
Who do you think is going to be the heavyweight champ this year? I would have to say (Justin) Soryal or (Anthony) Peluso.
What’s the most interesting thing anyone has said to you during a game? Nothing really. No one has really sad anything interesting.
What fight surprised you the most last season? I would have to say when Soryal took down (Theo) Peckham.
Tell us about your favourite (personal) OHL fight: I would have to say against Peter Mrksic. Hes a big boy and we went toe-to-toe for about 40 seconds.
