Thomas Nesbitt Profile
If you catch an Ottawa 67s game and happen to notice a toe-to-toe fight at center ice, chances are the name on the jersey will be Nesbitt.
While he’s not big in stature, Thomas Nesbitt is more than happy to go anyone who comes his way and will throw until he runs out of energy. His fights can be described as energetic and they tend to bring people out of their seats.
Last week, he talked to us for a bit, helping us get to know him. Enjoy!

What superstitions or rituals do you have before a game to prepare for a fight?
— I don’t really prepare for fights or think about them before the game.
What’s your favorite road trip?
— Favorite road trip would probably be Saginaw, Plymouth, and Windsor. It was my first trip last year as a rookie and I got my first ever goal in Saginaw.
If you weren’t in hockey, what would you want to do?
—- Probably try to be some kind of psychologist.
What current or former hockey player do you model your game after?
— Probably Jordan Tootoo. Hes not the biggest guy but he has no fear.
Who do you think is going to be the heavyweight champ this year?
— Greenop is a scary man. Peluso and Soryal will give him a run.
What’s the most interesting thing anyone has said to you in the penalty box before?
— After I fought Mascioli in Kitchener I got into some rough stuff with Clarkson and we got roughing minors. In the box a fan yelled at me asking if I had a death wish. We both had a good laugh.
Tell us about your best OHL fight:
— Either Koverko last year or round one with Rinaldo this year. The one with Koverko was fun because I was 16 and i think he was 19 at the time so it got the boys going. The one with Rinaldo was just a great buckets off toe-to-toe fight.
